Players from Rugby Youth Badminton have continued their winning streak at a recent doubles tournament, held at St Nicholas Leisure Centre in Warwick. Gold and Bronze medals were claimed across three age categories in the county-wide doubles competition.
In the Under 13s category, Rugby Youth players partnered up with players from other county clubs. Taking top position was Daniel Burgess, who continues to build on his singles success from last year. Also having a fantastic tournament was Dylan Mistry, who secured both Bronze in the boys doubles and took the overall win in the mixed Under 13 group.
No stranger to county competitions, Isaac Porter, saw his win tally increase as he partnered up with a player from elsewhere and went on to claim victory in the Under 15s.
Finally, the Under 17s also saw Rugby Youth Badminton players taking the top honours as Matthew Sirman and Alankrit Mata won Gold and their fellow club players, Alex Zhou and Parth Joshi fought hard to take Bronze.
Congratulations to all of the players who took part in the tournament. It’s great to see so many of our young players continuing to develop in the competitive game and achieving success.
